Lake Tahoe Storage

The Lake Tahoe web site can be used to view the lake elevation in "real time." Discover interesting facts and trivia about Lake Tahoe, and learn about historic lake levels and notable water events like the drought between 1987 and 1994 and the most dramatic rise in lake elevation, which occurred in 1995. The information supplied by the animation provides users with reference points against which they can compare the current lake elevation with historic elevations.

The Truckee River Flows & Storage web site provides an overview of the upper part of the Truckee River watershed between Lake Tahoe and Reno. It features information on the upstream reservoirs that are an important part of the water storage and flood protection for the Truckee Meadows and other downstream water users.
